it sounded like that when I, after my successfully completed laser surgery mind you,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
told my acquaintances that I did not have the procedure performed in Switzerland<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but rather had it performed in Istanbul. Admittedly I had <\/p>\n\n\n\n
already had an uneasy feeling before my departure for Istanbul. My <\/p>\n\n\n\n
concerns proved to be unfounded shortly after landing in Istanbul on 12 July; I immediately felt in very good hands and excellently looked after. The surgery went smoothly, although the <\/p>\n\n\n\n
first 12 hours after the operation were quite unpleasant, but no<\/p>\n\n\n\n
comparison to the discomfort I experienced during my 24 years with<\/p>\n\n\n\n
semi-hard contact lenses. The first morning after the surgery <\/p>\n\n\n\n
was simply magical and I felt like Alice in Wonderland, I saw<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Istanbul with literally different eyes. The euphoria was tempered <\/p>\n\n\n\n
slightly because I suffered from visual fluctuations for a few weeks<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and my eyes and I first had to get used to the new condition<\/p>\n\n\n\n
accustom ourselves. Headaches and sensitivity to light and problems <\/p>\n\n\n\n
with age-related long-sightedness did cause me some trouble<\/p>\n\n\n\n
struggle. During the follow-up examination in Switzerland, the <\/p>\n\n\n\n
ophthalmologist explained to me that this was completely normal (one allows for approximately 6 months until<\/p>\n\n\n\n
things have settled down) and that the eyes had been operated on perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meantime, 4 months have passed since the operation and my<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visual acuity is settling at 100% and the initial complaints<\/p>\n\n\n\n
have practically disappeared. It does take some patience, but as <\/p>\n\n\n\n
mentioned, I was happy to accept these short-term symptoms<\/p>\n\n\n\n
because my quality of life has improved significantly. I <\/p>\n\n\n\n
would perform the procedure AGAIN AT ANY TIME and my only regret is that<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had not had the surgery much earlier. One must <\/p>\n\n\n\n
simply be aware that it may take more or less time<\/p>\n\n\n\n
needed until everything has settled down. Nevertheless, I enjoy <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I live every day without the hated glasses or contact lenses. THERE IS <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is no reason not to travel to Istanbul and undergo the operation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
