As far as the medical team at the Eyestar Clinic is concerned, I cannot give the highest mark, but still a very high one. What motivates me not to give the highest mark is related to the fact that the waiting times were quite long due to several patients who were not coordinated chronologically alongside each other. Furthermore, the doctors and their assistants did not disclose too much of their own accord, but one had to enquire about one thing or another, to which they then gave friendly answers. After the operation, one generally does not feel very well and is taken to a dark room to a sofa bed and left alone. After five minutes, someone comes and brings eye drops that soothe the stinging in the eyes. However, I would have wished not to be left alone and to be informed immediately about the course of the operation. In terms of communication, it is not actually a problem as there is always at least someone who speaks good German or English. I advise everyone to take the sedative tablet before the operation, because although the operation is very fast, those minutes are quite intense as you are aware of everything and you should remain calm despite the pain and everything else. It is astonishing that the next day you can see almost perfectly, at least at a distance, and can pursue normal activities with the necessary caution. I have not felt any pain since then. The correction has resulted in me having 0 dioptres in one eye and 0.25 in the other. That was the result from the day after the operation, which the doctor informed me of. I have the feeling that I do not see quite as well with the left eye as with the right. Overall, I must say that I can warmly recommend this operation to anyone who is a little dissatisfied with the fact of having to use a visual aid, especially to those who have high dioptres. I think that the clinic in Istanbul is in no way inferior to a Swiss clinic in terms of the medical procedure. They have already operated on about 15,000 or 20,000 patients and nothing has ever gone wrong.
