Our Lasik in Istanbul – Report from Thursday, March 6, 2008
My wife, her brother and I had been thinking about LASIK for a long time. We searched the internet extensively to find an affordable provider, unfortunately without success. When my former optician then recommended surgery in Istanbul, I became curious after some initial scepticism and started doing research. We quickly found people who had already had LASIK in Istanbul, and all of them were completely satisfied. That gave us the confidence to go to Istanbul.
Through the internet, we quickly found the link to swisslasik.ch. We also contacted the clinic directly with a few questions and always received prompt and competent answers. On 29 February 2008, we flew to Istanbul and had the surgery on the same day. Everything went perfectly, and we are very satisfied. We were extremely nervous beforehand, but the team there knew how to calm our nerves. Ultimately, what impressed us most was the friendliness and humanity at the clinic. It was not a mass-processing operation.
The operation itself takes about 3 minutes, around 15 minutes including preparation. Everything is completely painless. Only after the operation do the eyes burn a little, and you should keep them closed for 3–4 hours. After that: wow! … smile
I have already shared the swisslasik link with interested colleagues at my company a dozen times… and I have only been back for three days.
