Experience report breast augmentation in Istanbul- Turkey – Report from Tuesday, 5 February 2019
My experience report from 14 January 2019 in Istanbul, breast augmentation under the chest muscle.
I have always wanted to have my breasts enlarged. My work colleague recommended Medicaltravel because a friend of hers also had her breasts done there and was very satisfied. On 23 September, I had a consultation with Dr Burak Ersoy. Due to the positive impression, I decided to go ahead with the procedure at the beginning of January.
One week before the trip, Mr Kara informed me that Dr Burak Ersoy could not keep the surgery appointment for personal reasons. They immediately found an alternative, and Dr Sükrü Yazar would perform the procedure. I was a bit shocked, but when I researched the surgeon online, I only read positive things. So I decided to have the breast enlargement with him.
On 13 January, I flew to Istanbul with my mother and sister with Turkish Airlines. We had a pleasant flight and were very warmly welcomed at the airport. We were picked up immediately at the airport and taken to the Levent Hotel.
On 14 January, we were supposed to be picked up from the hotel at 07:10, but the driver was an hour late.
When we arrived at Acibadem Hospital, we were greeted by an interpreter. I was taken to a nice, large room, and the blood tests began immediately. After that, everything went very quickly; before the surgery, I had a discussion with the surgeon.
I was very nervous; before the surgery, I was given a sedative. Around 11:00, the procedure began. The anesthesia worked quickly. After three hours, I woke up with very severe pain. I managed the night at the hospital well; my mother was able to stay with me in the room. The nurse was very kind and came every hour to check my blood pressure and temperature. I was very impressed with the care. The next evening, I was discharged from the hospital. The hotel was about a 10-minute drive away. During the first three days, I had mild pain, which felt like severe muscle soreness until the surgeon removed the two tubes on the sides. The removal was a bit painful as they were about 10 cm deep in the skin. After that, it got better day by day. I took the medications regularly that I received from the hospital. After the check-up, we went straight to Taksim to a hairdresser to have my hair washed, as it was difficult for me to do it myself.
On 18 January, I had the final follow-up in Istanbul. We took a taxi to Nisantasi to visit Dr Sükrü Yazar at his practice. He recommended a silicone cream for the scars under my breasts and showed me which exercises would be beneficial.
On Saturday afternoon, we returned to Switzerland. I felt very well and had no pain at all. On Monday, I went back to work as well.
My next follow-up is in Switzerland on 24 February. I am very satisfied with the result and would have it done there again without hesitation. Many thanks for the excellent care.
Kind regards, A. Sari
