DHI Hair Transplantation in Istanbul – Turkey
The DHI – FUE method, also known as the Pen Method, is the most advanced technique for hair transplantation in Turkey.
Compared to the traditional FUE hair transplantation, the DHI method does not require surgery, which results in a very low risk of infection, and unsightly surgical scars are avoided.
Hair transplants performed using the DHI method achieve the most natural and successful results. It is the latest hair transplantation technique available. Thanks to the DHI method, we achieve a very high hair density, control the hair growth direction, promote fast wound healing, and our results closely resemble natural hair.
The process in a typical FUE hair transplant is always the same. The grafts are harvested from the donor area, channels are opened in the recipient area for the grafts (for this, we offer the special and innovative Percutaneous method), and finally, the grafts are implanted. This procedure is usually carried out in three stages. During this process, the hair follicles are separated from the body’s nutrient supply for several hours. To offer DHI hair transplantation, a particularly skilled and successful team is required, as this method demands the highest level of precision at each step.
In the DHI method, the process is different. The grafts are harvested from the donor area as usual and then enriched in a special nutrient solution. However, no separate channel opening is required for implantation in the recipient area. Thanks to the use of the Choi Implanter Pen, the grafts are directly implanted. The channel opening and implantation occur in the same step. This allows for one graft to be transplanted after another, step by step. Although this method is much more time-consuming, and thus can only be done for a certain number of grafts, it promises optimal final results.
In previous transplantation methods, only about 60 to 75 percent of the harvested hairs survive.
In the DHI method with the Pen, around 90 to 95 percent of the harvested hairs survive.
With the FUE hair transplantation method using the micrometer, you can transplant up to 30 hairs per square cm.
With the DHI hair transplantation method, you can transplant 75 to 100 hairs per square cm.
In this procedure, individual hairs are harvested from the middle of the back of the head. The harvested hair follicles are then implanted into the scalp using a small needle.
The advantages of the DHI method:
No entry holes are required as with traditional methods, since the hair follicles are immediately re-implanted using a special DHI implantation device, the Choi Pen.
Since the treatment is quick and almost painless, only minimal postoperative medication is required.
However, the DHI method is not only suitable for hair implantation on the scalp.
The DHI method makes it possible to consider the hair growth direction as precisely as possible when implanting the hair, resulting in a uniquely natural outcome. In addition to controlling the hair growth direction, the DHI method allows us to create minimal openings with special, fine needles, enabling us to implant the grafts at maximum density, thus achieving an excellent result.
Additionally, the fine needles used in the DHI method reduce the risk of scarring and promote faster wound healing – making you socially presentable again sooner after a hair transplant than ever before.
How long does the treatment take?
Such a treatment typically takes around 3-5 hours. Generally, a time frame of approximately 2 days should be planned for the entire hair transplant. However, this can vary from person to person. Please send the following photos to info@medicaltravel.net so that a treatment plan can be created:

After receiving these photos, our doctors will be able to inform you whether your hair is suitable for a hair transplant, which method is more appropriate, and how many grafts you will need for a satisfactory result.
