Hair transplantation for women
Hair loss in women is generally caused by anemia, mineral and vitamin deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and other factors. When treating hair loss in women, it is essential to first address the underlying cause of the hair loss. Therefore, dermatologists, internists, and in some cases, endocrinologists should be consulted before deciding on a hair transplant. Once the cause of the hair loss has been resolved, the lost hair typically grows back within a year.
The individual phases of hair transplantation are the same for both women and men. However, women are generally not keen on shaving their hair for aesthetic reasons. Therefore, a different method is used during the extraction phase for women. Instead of shaving all the hair, a 2-2.5 cm wide and approximately 15 cm long section between the ears is lifted and shaved, and the hair grafts are extracted individually from this area using a micromotor. After the extraction, the lifted hair covers the extraction area. Within a week after the operation, the wound healing in this area is complete, and after one month, the affected person can hardly feel the extraction area by touch.
After the extraction, a channel is opened in the required area using very fine slits, without shaving the hair in that area. The only difference in this phase is that the hair in this area remains long. It takes about a week for the implantation area to appear normal again. The hairs that fall out within three weeks will grow back after three months. It takes about a year for the quality and appearance of the transplanted hair to match your natural hair. During this period, vitamin supplements can be taken, or mesotherapy can be performed as supportive treatments.
The visual advantage of this hair transplantation method is that your hair does not need to be cut short. The main disadvantage is that in one session, only 800-1000 grafts can be harvested.

How long does the treatment take?
Such a treatment typically takes around 3-5 hours. Generally, a time frame of approximately 2 days should be planned for the entire hair transplant. However, this can vary from person to person. Please send the following photos to info@medicaltravel.net so that a treatment plan can be created:
From the front, head slightly bent.
From the side.
From above.
From the donor area (hair crown).
After receiving these photos, our doctors will be able to inform you whether your hair is suitable for a hair transplant, which method is more appropriate, and how many grafts you will need for a satisfactory result.
