Femto LASIK treatment in Istanbul – my experience – report from Wednesday, 14 November 2012
I had heard a lot about laser treatment in Turkey, so I researched online and came across Swisslasik. Then I met Mr. Karaagacli at the health fair in St. Gallen, where he explained everything in detail. Around the same time, a good friend of mine had her eyes lasered in Switzerland. I also inquired in Switzerland whether I could have it done and how much it would cost. In hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t go through with it in Switzerland—it’s three times as expensive as in Turkey, and my friend is still not satisfied even 10 months after her surgery.
I can say simply that my stay in Turkey was short and painless. I had a prescription of -7.5 diopters and wore daily contact lenses every day. When I wore glasses, my eyes looked so small. I thought to myself: either do it now or never. I was 31 years old and, one could say, “half-blind.” That’s unacceptable.
Getting my eyes lasered in Istanbul was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The operation was painless. Afterward, my eyes teared up for about four hours, and everything was very bright. I slept for about three hours in the hotel and then went out to eat. The next day, we enjoyed the culture of Istanbul. Many thanks.
