Experience report- Breast augmentation Istanbul- Turkey – Report from Thursday, 12 May 2016
Decision – Hello everyone. My name is Simone, I’m 30 years old, and a mother of three children. Shortly after I stopped breastfeeding my third child, the desire for breast enlargement grew stronger. However, I was always put off by the costs of such an operation. So, I did some research on the internet and asked friends and acquaintances about other alternatives. Through a recommendation from acquaintances who had recently had a breast enlargement, I came across MedicalTravel. On their website, I signed up without obligation and sent photos. After a few clarifications via email, I was able to schedule a consultation. By chance, the pre-examination was near where I live. There, I met Mr. Serdar Kara from MedicalTravel and Dr. Yazar, who were both very friendly. Dr. Yazar gave me excellent advice, and I felt well cared for because I wasn’t exactly sure how the whole process would go.
Trip – MedicalTravel organised everything for the trip to Istanbul. With the Travelpass (a small booklet for your handbag), all the information was in one place. Transfers from the airport to the hotel and to the hospital were all included.
Hotel – The Levent Hotel is small and charming, very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. The hotel staff speaks English, and one of the owners even speaks fluent German. The city centre is easily accessible by taxi or metro. It is very quiet (for a big city), as the hotel is a bit on the outskirts. I felt very comfortable. No one at the hotel looks at you strangely, as most people come there for surgery.
Surgery – Before the surgery, everything was explained to me in great detail by Dr. Yazar. I was operated on early in the morning, and everything went very quickly. After the surgery, I had a beautiful single room and received very kind care from the nurses.
After one night, I was allowed to return to the hotel. Equipped with painkillers and antibiotics, I rested as much as I could throughout the day. The drains were quite bothersome, but I was able to have them removed the next day during the first follow-up check. After that, the pain became more manageable.
Day by day, I started feeling better and was able to plan short walks and explore the city of Istanbul. Besides buying souvenirs and shopping, I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure, which Turkey is known for.
Conclusion – I’ve been home for 3 weeks now, and I’m becoming more and more satisfied with the result every day. Of course, everything is still a bit swollen and there are occasional twinges, but I no longer take any painkillers. I’m glad I chose MedicalTravel and Dr. Yazar, and I would recommend them anytime. However, I wouldn’t recommend travelling alone, as in the first few days, you need someone who can assist you. For example, dressing and showering is not that easy to do on your own in this situation.
The value for money of this organisation is excellent!
