My crown treatment in Istanbul – Report from Saturday, 2 September 2017

I have been suffering from bruxism (teeth grinding at night) for several years. Unfortunately, I also have a pronounced fear of dentists. My teeth were brittle and heavily worn down due to the teeth grinding.

Since I knew I couldn’t afford treatment here in Switzerland and I had already had very painful experiences with dentists here, I searched the internet for an alternative.

I found the website MedicalTravel. I read that it is a clinic, and for me, a clinic means that they could also administer general anesthesia or sedation. So, I contacted the MedicalTravel Center. I was warmly welcomed by Mr. Kara, who informed me about everything, the process, what I still needed, etc. etc.

He also arranged an appointment for me to meet my doctor in Switzerland. This meeting took place in the canton of Zug. I already found her very likeable there. She appeared very professional and discussed the treatment procedures with me. She also showed me photos of her previous dental treatments and answered all my questions and concerns. This really helped build my trust.

Around 1 1/2 months later, in August 2017, I travelled to Istanbul. My first appointment was the very next day at 9:00 AM. I was warmly welcomed at the clinic. Burcu, my translator, was always there whenever I wanted to ask Dr. Öztürk something or when I wanted to tell Dr. something.

During my 10-day stay in Istanbul, I had many dental appointments. I didn’t even need general anesthesia. Despite my fear, which unfortunately is still not completely gone, I always felt I was in good hands with Dr. Öztürk. The pain was also always manageable. Furthermore, my questions and concerns were always taken into account.

Now, I have 25 new white zirconium crowns and two fewer wisdom teeth. I also now have a jaw splint for nighttime protection.

I am extremely satisfied and overjoyed with the result. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic as well as Mr. Kara from MedicalTravel to everyone.
