My dental treatment in Istanbul in April 2016 – Report from Wednesday, 11 May 2016
Thoughts:
When you first hear about such offers from abroad, it’s natural to be skeptical. I too had many questions about the processes and whether I could trust them. I thought about whether I should sign up with Medical Travel or not for two weeks. Ultimately, my desire for well-aligned teeth couldn’t hold me back. So, I signed up for a consultation with Mr. Kara.
Conversation:
I was able to have a consultation in Switzerland. During the conversation, Mr. Kara and the dentist were present. The dentist took a look at my teeth on-site and immediately shared her professional opinion. Mr. Kara translated this clearly into German and was able to answer all my questions. Thanks to this conversation and the professional attitude of both the dentist and Mr. Kara, my doubts were put to rest. Right after the meeting, I took care of some personal matters in order to go ahead with the trip.
Flight and Hotel:
It’s simply great. Instead of spending hours searching for hotels and flights online, I was given 3 suggestions. All the hotels were nearby. My hotel was only 300 meters away and easily reachable on foot. The hotel lived up to its promises very well. It was clean, organized, and always friendly to me. Additionally, it was very affordable. Definitely worth booking again.
Flight Delay:
Unfortunately, I missed my morning flight and had to reschedule for the afternoon. A simple phone call was all it took to reorganize everything—just world-class service. The quick action really impressed me.
The Treatment:
Despite my delay, they were able to quickly arrange a translator. The treatment began the next day. First, X-rays were taken, and then my teeth were examined by the doctor. We went over everything again with the translator and the doctor, discussing the procedure. An implant needed to be placed. I was expecting several hours of painful, grueling work. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The doctor was finished with his work after just 30 minutes. I could hardly believe it, but I had no pain. NO PAIN!!! Truly well done. The young doctor has my full trust. Next month, I will visit Acibadem Hospital again to finish my dental treatment. I’m already looking forward to it. I’m counting the days until my departure.
Prices:
There is really nothing to complain about regarding the prices. Great hospital, great prices. Just a fraction of the cost you would have in Switzerland. No matter what treatment. Huge savings compared to Switzerland. NEVER AGAIN A DENTAL TREATMENT IN SWITZERLAND!
City of Istanbul:
Despite my young age, I’ve traveled to many countries—whether France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, or Greece. None of them compare to Istanbul. What a fascinating city! Such a beautiful city with amazing food and truly breathtaking sights, I will definitely visit again many times. By the way, it’s also highly recommended for shopping.
Conclusion:
Turkey = Top
Switzerland = Flop
In every respect, I see Turkey as the leading destination for treatment. Goodbye Switzerland, I will have my teeth done in Turkey.
