My experience with my dental treatment in Istanbul

MedicalTravel is an attractive company that I had the pleasure of getting to know. With locations in Istanbul and Switzerland, the treatment became more interesting and, of course, safer. This was already my second treatment with MedicalTravel, and I have now gained many experiences from it. We came across them through my eldest son. Three years ago, he was interested in laser eye surgery and researched online with the aim of finding a cost-effective yet high-quality treatment. That’s when he found MedicalTravel and told us about it. At first, we were a bit skeptical, but as time went on, we became more convinced, especially after we got in touch with the relevant staff. After discussing it, my son and I booked the laser eye treatment for nearsightedness in Istanbul. We traveled in May 2018, had the treatment on Saturday, and returned on Sunday. It was a short trip, but our nearsightedness was corrected. We are both still very satisfied with the results and immediately recommended it to our relatives with similar issues. Even back then, we were very impressed by the price-to-performance ratio of MedicalTravel, and this significantly increased our trust in them.

I also had problems with my teeth, as I suffer from the dental disease periodontitis. From my previous contact with Mr. Serdar Kara, I reached out to him this time due to my dental issues. Shortly after, I received an appointment here in Switzerland for a preliminary examination to discuss all possible options. After consulting with the doctor, who frequently traveled between Switzerland and Turkey, we planned a more extended treatment schedule to address my condition as effectively as possible. Simpler check-ups and necessary treatments could be carried out advantageously here in Switzerland, while the more complex procedures, such as dental implants, were planned for Istanbul.

When the appointment in Istanbul came, I traveled with my husband and two sons to enjoy a slightly extended Easter weekend in Istanbul. We flew from Zurich to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines in about three hours. The flight was very comfortable, we had our seats next to each other, and the dinner was quite tasty. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly woman who took us directly to the clinic for the first treatment.

After my treatment, we had the next few days to ourselves. We made the most of it and visited beautiful sights in Istanbul. We walked around Taksim Square, entered the stunning Sultanahmet Mosque, enjoyed a shopping tour in the Grand Bazaar, and experienced a wonderful view of Istanbul at night from the Galata Tower. We were very impressed by Turkish cuisine, especially the incredibly sweet specialties. The hotel near the clinic was very satisfying, with a delicious breakfast spread. The days flew by, and before we knew it, the last day had arrived—departure day. Before leaving, I had my final treatment in Istanbul.

With a smile, I left the clinic, and our taxi to the airport was already waiting for us, kindly organised by the clinic. Despite some light turbulence, the return flight was still pleasant. The Istanbul holiday was now over. Although my treatment is still ongoing, the major procedures in Istanbul were successfully completed.

I look back on my time in Istanbul with very positive experiences and great memories. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the hotel, the clinic, the doctor, and with MedicalTravel and their organisation and planning. I can truly recommend it to others. I am very grateful to the doctor and to MedicalTravel for all the help and treatments.
