Experience Report: Face and Neck Lift on 1st November 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey
I had been considering a face and neck lift for quite some time. After consultations in Switzerland and Germany, my general practitioner drew my attention to MedicalTravel. Without any particular expectations, I contacted the office on Langgasse. Mr. Kara arranged a non-binding consultation with Prof. Dr. Kayiran (a title holder in Turkey) in Zug for me. During this appointment, I was shown what was possible and how the pre- and post-operative process would unfold for me.

After a thorough consultation and the trust I had developed in the doctor, it was clear to me that I would undergo this procedure in Istanbul.
Mr. Kara and his team took care of the organisation. I received an offer that included the flight, hotel, face and neck lift, interpreter, and transfers from the airport to the hotel and hospital. The total cost was significantly lower than what I would have paid in Switzerland or Germany.

So, I flew to Istanbul accompanied by my partner. At the airport, we were picked up by the chauffeur and driven to the hotel. He was responsible for us throughout the entire week. During the journey, the interpreter contacted me, who would accompany me to the hospital the next day and handle all the administrative matters.
She was also very helpful during the pre-operative examinations, assisting both me and the staff. Just before the surgery, Dr. Kayiran briefly discussed his approach with me, and then it was time to head to the operating room.

After the procedure, I was regularly monitored, cared for, and provided with everything I needed. The nurses spoke very little English or German, so a translation app was very helpful. The room was very spacious, clean, and welcoming. From the 6th floor, I had a wonderful view over Istanbul. My partner had the opportunity to be with me at all times.

The day after the surgery, Dr. Kayiran renewed the pressure bandage, and we agreed that I would stay an additional day in the hospital as I was feeling unwell.
On the second day after the surgery, Dr. Kayiran checked again and adjusted the bandage. I was given a prescription for the necessary medications and could return to the hotel.
Overall, we stayed in Istanbul for nine days. Regular check-ups with the doctor were scheduled. I was cared for very competently and empathetically. If necessary, an interpreter was always present.

Before returning to Switzerland, I was given a bandage with Velcro, which was less noticeable and more comfortable to wear. By the third day, I was feeling so well that I was ready for outings.
The Livinton Hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood on the Asian side of Istanbul. There are several restaurants and shopping centres nearby, easily accessible on foot. We also frequently used taxis and ferries to visit the most beautiful sights of Istanbul. Overall, everything was perfectly organised.

The people are friendly and helpful. I felt very competently and empathetically treated and well cared for before, during, and after the procedure in Istanbul. The healing process is going perfectly, and after 4 weeks, I am very satisfied with the result.

I am glad I took this step and would do it again anytime.
