My liposuction in Istanbul – Report from Monday, 5 February 2018
My days in Istanbul for liposuction
Four weeks after my inquiry to Mr. Kara from MedicalTravel regarding liposuction, everything was settled, and there was no turning back.

Departure to Zurich Airport. Our flight was at 11:45 AM. Arrival in Istanbul at around 5:00 PM (due to the time difference). My mother is accompanying me as mental support.
Upon arriving at the airport, we picked up our luggage and headed to the Acibadem helpdesk. We were warmly greeted by two ladies, who asked us to take a seat for a moment as the driver would arrive shortly. Ten minutes later, we were already in the car on our way to the Levent Hotel.
A bit tired from the journey, we headed to our room. Nothing spectacular, but everything was clean and well-maintained. The last night before the surgery.
Monday, January 8, 2018.
We were supposed to be picked up at 7:15 AM, but at 7:00 AM, our room phone rang, and we were told the driver was already there. By 7:30, we arrived at Acibadem Taksim Hospital. The first impression was WOW. I think you’d have to search for a long time in Switzerland to find such a modern hospital.
Nervously, we waited in the reception area until it was time. That’s when we met Kati, our translator. After completing the paperwork, we were taken to the room. It was a single room, top modern and very beautiful. At intervals, people came by: one to take blood, another to bring the surgical clothes, one for the anesthesia, and finally, Mr. Tatlidede (my surgeon) came by.
And then it got colorful on my body. Circles and lines were drawn everywhere where something needed to be removed. There was a lot of marking, as the surgery would take place on my back, waist, stomach, and thighs. Then began the waiting until it was finally time to begin.
Around 11:30 AM, it was time. I was taken and my journey to a slimmer life was truly starting.
By 5:30 PM, everything was already over, and thanks to the anesthesia, I didn’t feel a thing. We spent the night in the hospital (my mother was able to stay with me in the room on a sofa bed).

The night was a bit restless, and I didn’t get much sleep. Sitting up or getting up was not one of my favourite activities. It was rather painful and not exactly comfortable, but as they say, BEAUTY MUST SUFFER.
After the round at 10 AM, we were allowed to return to the hotel. The lovely Kati arranged a taxi for us, which arrived 20 minutes later.
Back at the hotel, I just wanted to lie down, as lying was the most comfortable position without pain.
To get my circulation moving a bit, we went to the nearby shopping mall to do some shopping.
Walking is possible, but only slowly.
We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel. On Wednesday and Thursday, we spent the time at the hotel and from there, went to see a few things. For example, we took the metro to Taksim Square and also visited the bazaar.

Final check-up with Mr. Tatlidede before the return flight. He was very pleased with the result and gave me the green light for the flight back on Saturday.
Saturday, January 13, 2018.
Our return flight was not until around 9:00 PM. Our transfer from the hotel to the airport was at 5:30 PM.
We had to check out of the room by 12:00 PM. I think that was the only negative thing I can say about this trip. From 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM is a long time to sit in the lobby and wait, especially since sitting was quite difficult. We would have preferred if we could have used the room for the entire day on Saturday, especially when flying in the evening like we did.
The entire trip was a total success, and I am more than thrilled with the result. It looks amazing, and I can tell anyone who has doubts about a cosmetic surgery in Istanbul that these doubts are completely unfounded. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering undergoing cosmetic surgery.
Kind regards,
