MY RECOMMENDATION FOR MY BREAST LIFT IN ISTANBUL.

On 24th July 2021, I fulfilled a dream I had for almost 20 years and had a breast lift done.

I became aware of MedicalTravel through an acquaintance of my partner and the internet. On 13th June 2021, I contacted MedicalTravel by phone and was very kindly and competently advised by Mr. Kara. I then immediately scheduled a personal consultation for 10th July 2021 in Zug.

The phone conversation with Mr. Kara and the prospect of fulfilling my heart’s desire stayed with me the entire following week. Mr. Kara gave me the opportunity to send photos of my breasts via WhatsApp before the appointment, so they could be assessed by Dr. Kayran, the treating doctor in Istanbul. Since Dr. Kayran confirmed that he could fulfill my wish for a breast lift without reduction, I no longer hesitated and booked the trip for sure. I still attended the appointment on 10th July in Zug, as it was very important for me to meet my treating doctor in person beforehand.

Unfortunately, my partner was unable to accompany me, so I decided to embark on the journey with a good friend. After a brief but intense period of planning, we finally set off on 23rd July 2021. Already in the morning, while we were still in Switzerland, the driver who would pick us up in Istanbul contacted me. At 7:00 PM, we arrived in Istanbul and, as promised, were picked up on time by our driver, Mr. Haki.

First, we went straight to Nightingale Hospital for the COVID test and blood draw. After the long journey and rising nervousness, we finally arrived at the hotel at 10:00 PM.

Finally! The long-awaited treatment day had arrived. Right on time at 10:00, we were picked up by our driver, Mr. Haki, at the hotel and taken to the clinic. Our interpreter, Feridun, was already waiting for us in front of the clinic.

After filling out several forms, we were then taken to the room. There, my friend was immediately offered the option to stay the night with me in the clinic, should we both wish it. As soon as we arrived in the room, Dr. Kayiran came by. He calmly explained everything to me once more and marked the areas for the surgery.

My friend was able to wait for me in the room during my surgery. She felt very well looked after and cared for by Feridun.

After about 3.5 hours of surgery, I was brought back to the room where my friend was already waiting for me. Since I was feeling quite unwell from the anaesthesia, my friend didn’t want to leave me alone and decided to accept the offer to stay overnight with me.

I, for my part, was extremely happy and grateful that this was possible. The situation of having surgery, especially abroad, should not be underestimated, so I would highly recommend not doing such a trip alone. During the night after the surgery, I had several issues with my circulation. The doctors and all the nursing staff took excellent care of me.

On Sunday, 25th July 2021, at noon, Dr. Kayiran came for the first visit, and I was able to assess the results of the surgery (initially only while lying down). Since my night had been a bit turbulent, it was recommended that I stay another night in the clinic. I agreed, as I didn’t want to take any risks.

My friend decided to return to the hotel on Sunday afternoon. The night from Sunday to Monday was much better, and by Monday, Dr. Kayran was able to remove the drains, allowing me to return to the hotel.

By Tuesday afternoon, I was informed by Feridun that I would have follow-up appointments on Wednesday and Thursday. Our driver, Haki, picked us up again on time and took us to the clinic. There, we were warmly greeted by an interpreter (this time it was Gökhan).
After the follow-up appointment, which went very well, we headed straight to the COVID test for our return trip on Thursday, 29th July 2021.

Back in the hotel room, it was time to pack. Since my mobility was still quite limited, packing and carrying the suitcase would have been impossible for me.
In any case, on Thursday, we were once again picked up on time by Mr. Haki and taken to the clinic.

Dr. Kayran had already noticed further improvement in the healing process from Wednesday to Thursday and was therefore very confident that everything would heal as desired.

For the upcoming week, I had to take daily photos and send them via WhatsApp to Mr. Gökhan, so he could review them with Dr. Kayran and let me know how I should continue caring for my breasts.

Today, 24th August, exactly one month after the surgery, I can say the following:

The aftercare in Switzerland, provided by Mr. Gökhan and Dr. Kayran, worked very well. I always received prompt and competent answers to my questions.
On 4th September, I will have another personal follow-up consultation in Zug.
I am more than satisfied with the result and absolutely thrilled!

I haven’t regretted it for a single minute, and I would take this step again anytime!
The consultation and care provided by MedicalTravel, as well as the staff at the clinic in Istanbul, were and continue to be always friendly, helpful, and very attentive!
