My Veneers Treatment in Istanbul – Report from Wednesday, 7th February 2018
Since I was never satisfied with my teeth and I believe that a smile makes a huge difference in a person, I had been researching a solution for several years. The fastest, most beautiful, and simplest solution for me was veneers. Now, I just needed to find the best value for money. In Switzerland, veneers are almost unaffordable, and getting my teeth done abroad felt like a risk.
I inquired at various places, but I was never truly convinced. Until I came across the MedicalTravel website. I had only heard and read good things about cosmetic surgeries and dental treatments in Turkey. Having the treatment done in Turkey while being taken care of from Switzerland? Amazing!
I quickly got in touch with Mr. Kara and arranged a consultation in Zug. My friend came along as well, as he was also convinced by my idea. The dentist and the translator were both very friendly and explained everything clearly to us.
So, we booked our trip for November. Upon arriving in Turkey, we were already expected at the airport and taken to our hotel. The next morning, we were picked up from the hotel and driven to Acibadem Hospital. There, the translator greeted us and explained the procedure to us.
Our teeth were then treated, and a mold was made, which was sent to the lab. After that, we were given provisional teeth. The treatment was not painful, as everything was numbed beforehand. Afterwards, we had a few days to ourselves to explore Istanbul. We really enjoyed the food, the people, shopping, the sights, and the hotel.
On Thursday, we returned to try on the veneers to see if everything fit. They were then sent back to the lab for adjustments and polishing. On Friday, it was finally time. My veneers were then bonded to my teeth. This was done under local anesthesia, so there was no pain.
When I saw my veneers for the first time in the mirror, I was overjoyed. I never expected such a beautiful result! Our dentist, Mrs. Özge Öztürk, did an incredible job. She is very friendly, and you can tell that she loves her job and frequently works with veneers. The result is truly impressive. Additionally, she speaks English, although the translator was, of course, always present.
The next day, we went again to share how the veneers felt and to have them polished. For me, they also had to take another mold of my teeth to make a night guard, as I grind my teeth. On Sunday, we were then taken back to the airport and flew back to Switzerland.
My friend and I are very happy that we decided to get veneers at MedicalTravel. I now love showing my smile and often get complimented on my teeth because they look so beautiful and natural. I highly recommend MedicalTravel to anyone. We will definitely go back to Istanbul for a holiday, and we will for sure visit our dentist, Mrs. Özge Öztürk!
