My recommendation and experience of my dental treatment in Antalya – Turkey

I, Maik Weibel, am 26 years young and have been suffering from toothache for a very long time. It was not only the pain that bothered me, but also the fact that my teeth did not look good in my opinion. I had broken teeth as well as many blackened teeth. However, I brushed my teeth regularly and visited dentists here in Switzerland many times, but at some point it simply became too expensive. So I asked my sister to look for somewhere we could both have our teeth treated, so that I could finally have peace, smile again and show my teeth with confidence. Through the internet, my sister came across several clinics that work together with dentists abroad. The one that appealed to us the most was MedicalTravel.

So we made an appointment in Zurich for a 3D X-ray and a discussion about what exactly we wanted to have done. The appointment took around 40 minutes. A few days later, we then received the different cost estimates by email. During this time, my sister was always able to ask MedicalTravel if they could obtain further quotes or answer other questions. It was very easy for us, we did not have to make any effort ourselves. We could simply call or send a WhatsApp message whenever we had questions, and everything was organised for us just the way we wanted it.

Once we decided on the dental treatment, everything moved very quickly. They booked the flights and all transfers for us. What is really worth mentioning in a very positive way is that MedicalTravel even booked the hotel room and flight for my uncle, who wanted to come with us only as support and did not need any treatment. We did not have to organise anything separately for him, which we found first class. We chose Turkey, Antalya, and we would make the same decision again at any time. I must admit that of course we were still a bit sceptical about having such a major treatment done in a foreign country where we do not speak the language. But to be honest, we had no other choice, as we simply could not afford to have our teeth done in Switzerland, where it costs ten times as much.

But I can tell you that you do not need to be sceptical. We flew to Antalya and were welcomed straight away and taken to the hotel, and every time we had to go from the hotel to the clinic we were picked up and brought back again. In the clinic there was an interpreter who spoke German very fluently, and everyone was extremely kind and very professional — many dentists could really learn from them.

The dentists did an excellent job; they responded very well to our wishes and our fears. We felt we were in good hands. It is understandable that such procedures involve pain, and you should be prepared for that. However, we were given medication for it and could contact the dental clinic at any time.

I hope that with this text I can show other people that you should not throw your money away just because you are sceptical about having treatment abroad. I can only recommend that you at least have a consultation with MedicalTravel. They can always provide you with information and are always there for you.
